Job Description:
CURRENT HIRING
We are currently looking for experienced Drafting Clerks to join our team! Drafting Clerks will assist our internal engineering team in optimizing the refit of our manufacturing plant by creating customized Low and Medium Voltage mechanical and electrical drawings. The ideal candidate should be organized, attentive, focused on creating efficiencies within the drawing production process.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work closely with a team of engineers and industrial designers.
Liaise with the project team to implement necessary drafting requirements.
Develop and prepare technical engineering drawings, plans, diagrams, or layouts from sketches.
Operate computer-assisted drafting equipment or a drafting station.
Utilize job/service database software to create efficiencies within the drawing production process
Create parts lists/bills of material for projects
Examine drawings for conformity and errors
Participate in continuous improvements to the manufacturing plant.
Job Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of experience as a drafting clerk
Secondary school diploma. Post-secondary education is an asset
Good English language skills (written and oral)
Familiarity with workplace safety
Computer and technology Knowledge: CAD, Photoshop, AutoCAD, Autodesk REVIT
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Full-time, permanent position consisting of 30-40 weekly work hours
The remuneration will be set at CAD$29.23 per hour
Occasional overtime may be required for meeting critical deadlines. Overtime pay will apply after 44 hours of work per week and will be remunerated at one and a half times the regular pay rate
