Job Description:

Position: Drafting Technologist, NOC: 22212
Number of Positions Available: 1
Term of Employment: Permanent position, Full-time, 40 hours per week - Overtime available after 44 hours/week
Location of Work: 636 King ST W, Toronto, Ontario, M5V 0G9
Wage: $39.00 per Hour

Vacation: 10 business days per year
Responsibilities:
• Prepare CAD and Revit drawings for site plans, building layouts, parking, and unit layouts
• Create BIM models and update modular Revit components for drafting purposes
• Produce and revise drawing sets for planning, permit, and construction use based on markups
• Check drawings for accuracy, measurements, and adherence to drafting standards
• Add technical information, such as parking counts, unit mix, legends, and notes, into drawing sets
• Organize and export Revit sheets and files according to company standards, and use Revit/Dynamo to automate repetitive tasks
• Write technical notes or reports and complete documentation packages for submission
• Assist with material lists, quantity estimates, and technical information for tender packages
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
• Completion of a college program in Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field
• 2 years of experience in preparing CAD and Revit drawings
• Ability to create BIM models and update Revit components
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit libraries, and digital drafting standards
• Knowledge of Dynamo and Excel to support drafting tasks
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Organized and comfortable working with modular or prefabricated drawing systems
• Understanding of how drawing packages for planning or building permits are prepared as part of a drafting workflow
