Job Description:
Cost Estimator is needed to perform the following duties :
● Consult with our client Verizon, subcontractors, vendors and material suppliers to discuss and review their estimates, issue purchase orders, evaluate various factors to cost reductions, resolve issues and ensure profits on all projects.
● Evaluate quantity of material as necessary within the allocated budget, by selecting subcontractors and vendors with the proper experience and maintaining a directory of vendors and Sub contractors.
● Capturing all construction units based on work performed in the field by subcontractors and making sure the measurements, quantity of work performed and materials used are accurate and use that as the basis for future projections to minimize costs and maximize revenue.
● Verify labor rates, union labors, and prevailing wage rates with Subcontractors as per availability of labor for particular timeframe and current market rate.
● Collect data, perform analysis, review and adjust estimates to account for the effect of time, cost inflation and to give an accurate estimate for current and future billing prospects to Verizon
● Coordinating with site teams to manage monthly requisites to be sent to the clients
● Keep a track of Cost of general Conditions, permits, project materials and labors costs and any other day to day activities that need attention
Bachelor’s Degree is required in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
