Job Description:
Position Info:
• Position: Certified Dental Assistant
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $34.00-$37.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions: 1
• Work Location: 243-800 Carnarvon St, New Westminster, BC V3M 0G3

Job Duties:
• Assist in preparing patients for dental examinations and ensure their comfort during procedures
• Set up and prepare dental instruments, materials, and equipment required for treatments
• Sterilize, disinfect, and maintain dental instruments and clinical equipment according to infection control protocols
• Provide intra-oral assistance to the dentist during diagnostic, preventive, and restorative procedures
• Take and process dental radiographs (x-rays) as directed by the dentist
• Polish teeth and crowns, and apply fluoride or sealant treatments under the supervision of the dentist
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments and update dental records as required
Job requirements:
• Experience: 2-3 years of related experience is required
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
• Language: English
• Certificate: Dental Assistant (BC College of Oral Health Professionals)
