Job Overview
We are seeking passionate and dedicated teachers to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of childhood development and the ability to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. This role involves working with infants and toddlers, fostering their growth through engaging activities and educational experiences. INFANT, TODDLER, PRESCHOOL, and PRE-K TEACHERS APPLY!
Duties
Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning, self-esteem, social skills and development.
Provide care for infants and toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Manage classroom behavior effectively, creating a positive learning atmosphere.
Foster social skills through group activities and playtime.
Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and any concerns.
Process and maintain assessment tools for all children in classroom.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
Collaborate with other educators to enhance the overall educational experience.
Interact with students to meet the individual needs to support play, exploration, and learning.
Participate in the teamwork efforts in the school.
Create, enhance and maintain the school's policies and program, to include DHS regs.
Show knowledge of and be able to use all assessment tools.
Assist children with meal times and clean-up.
Assist children with bathroom and diapering needs.
Participate in meetings, including staff meetings, parent meetings, and other events as necessary.
Leadership-ability to direct and collaborate with other staff in the classroom to ensure the class is functioning in an orderly manner.
Experience
CDA Or Associates Degree Required
Two years experience in childcare or education settings required
Completion of all clearances and documents as set forth by governing agencies
Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices
Happy, friendly, upbeat, positive, outgoing and welcoming personality required
Familiarity with behavior management techniques to support children's emotional growth.
Effective communicator (written and verbal)
Skills in classroom management to create an effective learning environment.
Exceptional time management and organizational skills
Multi-tasker, able to take on fast-paced environment with general supervision
Highly motivated, self-starting professional
May sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk frequently during the day.
May stand four (4) to eight (8) hours per day.
May need to lift up to fifty (50) pounds on occasion or more depending on child’s weight.
