Job Description:
A Production Engineering Manager is needed in Opelika, Alabama.
Oversee the production engineering and maintenance process of production systems in manufacturing automotive components including seat cover, sun visor, door accessories, and luggage trim.
Plan, coordinate, and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and support consistent production flow.
Manage and coordinate equipment repairs, routine inspections, and system diagnostics across production lines.
Develop and monitor production engineering and maintenance budgets, inventory levels of spare parts, and procurement of critical tools and supplies to ensure timely response to equipment needs.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective and continuous improvement strategies.
Support installation and commissioning of new production machinery, ensuring proper setup, testing, and training to achieve stable and reliable operations.
Analyze maintenance data and system performance metrics to drive decision-making for system upgrades, replacements, or process improvements.
Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and environmental regulations related to machine operations and facility maintenance.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure that maintenance efforts align with production goals, engineering standards, and quality control requirements.
Job Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Engineering or Engineering technology and 2 years of managerial experience in the automotive parts manufacturing industry.
