Razor & Lacquer is looking for passionate candidates for the position of full-time barber

Position: Barber
Employment Terms and Conditions: Permanent, Full-time (30-40 hours per week), Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, Flexible Hours, To be determined, Morning
Wage: $18.00-20.00
Expected Start Date: As soon as possible
Work Location: Bay#2, 5010 50th St, Ponoka, Alberta T4J 1R8
Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Provide hairstyle suggestions
• Cut, trim and may dye hair according to client’s instructions
• Shave, trim and shape client’s beards and moustaches
• Shampoo and condition customers’ hair
• Provide hair treatments when needed
• Style hair using chemical solutions and styling products and tools
• Clean and sanitize scissors, combs, razors and other instruments
• Book and confirm appointments
• Order supplies when needed
• Sweep up hair and keep the station clean
Position Requirements and Qualifications:
• Secondary (senior high) school Diploma; completion of required program/additional training certificate
• 7 months to less than 1 year of previous barber shop work experience
• Eligibility to apply for a trade certificate
• Sound knowledge of current hairstyles and trends
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Strong organization and effective interpersonal skills
• Client focus; Efficient interpersonal skills; Flexibility; Judgement; Reliability; Team player
• Physically capable of performing the required duties; repetitive tasks and work on flexible hours by shift;
