Job Description:
General Dentist: Examine, diagnose, and treat a variety of conditions and diseases of the teeth, gums, and mouth. Conduct patient interviews and review medical history to evaluate patients’ dental and overall health. Diagnose a variety of dental and periodontal diseases and recommend treatment based on the type of severity of conditions. Provide routine dental care including cleaning, extractions, and fillings using rotary and hand instruments, dental appliances, medications, and surgical instruments. Provide direction and guidance to dental hygienists in performing routine and non-routine teeth cleaning. Perform a variety of endodontic and periodontal dental procedures including crowns, bridges, root canals, gingival grafts, implants, tooth removal, teeth whitening, and porcelain veneers, inlays, and onlays. Design and fit prosthodontic appliances such as space maintainers, bridges, and removable dentures and write fabrication instructions for denturists and dental technicians. Educate patients on proper dental health and oral hygiene, including proper diet, tooth brushing, and flossing methods. Perform daily record-keeping tasks such as completing patient charts and updating the company’s electronic health record systems. Stay abreast of the latest technological advances and industry trends in dentistry and dental technology.
Job Requirements:
Requirements: The position requires a Doctor of Dental Medicine or Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and one year of experience in the job offered or related position . Equivalent foreign degrees are acceptable. The position requires skills and knowledge in periodontal and endodontic procedures . The position requires a valid license to practice dentistry in the state of New Jersey
