Description:
Swing Shift: 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM PST
Responsible for leading a team on a swing shift.
- 25% Provide technical direction and proactive solutions to ensure optimal performance of batch schedule and ensure compliance with batch window.
- 20% Responsible for ensuring successful batch operations and handling of NOC alerts for assigned shift.
- 15% Provide secondary level of support, analysis, trouble-shooting and triage to resolve batch operations and/or NOC alerts.
- Act as subject matter expert for problem and incident management meetings with business and IT teams to resolve issues.
- 15% Develop and continually refine NOC documentation and other enterprise monitoring policies and ensure NOC tools can meet requirements
- 15% Provide guidance and mentor junior staff on corresponding job functions.
- 10% Collaborate with business and IT teams to translate requirements/requests into design and implementation of updates or additions to batch schedule or NOC alerts.
- Provide validation of implemented changes. Available to participate in projects as assigned.
- Monitor production batch operations; monitor enterprise services that are within scope of NOC operations.
- Provides L1/L2 troubleshooting of batch jobs and actionable NOC alerts; provide technical solutions to automate batch processes or functions.
- Master or subject matter expert in one's discipline and related disciplines.
- This is the highest level individual contributor role which also acts as a back up in the manager's absence.
- Exercises judgment and helps define policy.
- Responsible for coaching lower level employees.
- Works on problems of complex scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of difficult and highly complex factors.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree and 5+ years experience in a Batch/NOC operations environment.
- Previous experience building and optimizing job schedules.
- Previous experience with documentation ownership and process development.
- 5-7 years experience with job scheduler (Tidal preferred) or NOC monitoring ( IBM Tivoli/Netcool/APM, Splunk, Keynote, VDI, SolarWinds).
- Senior Windows/UNIX systems administrator skill set
- Strong analytical skills
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Proactive and Positive attitude
- TriZetto Facets™ experience - desirable
- Expert knowledge of a scripting language Healthcare/Payer operations experience - desirable
- Self-directed Project or Process Management certification - desirable
- ITIL Certification - desirable
