Job Description:
Responsible for managing existing and new business development with automotive companies and Tier 1 and Tier 2 automotive component suppliers in North America by prospecting, qualifying and selling Sodick Electric Discharge Machines (EDMs) and High-Speed Milling Machines (HSMs) and related consumable parts. Specific duties include analyzing market opportunities; developing new business relations; researching and collecting information regarding competitors, market needs and industry trends; visiting customers to build and develop relationships and gather customer specific information; analyzing customers’ needs; developing and implementing strategic marketing and sales plans; holding technical meetings with customers to promote new products; expanding business with current customers; preparing responses to request for quotation and bids for sales; negotiating sales agreements; and managing the project timing including deliveries and equipment installation and testing.

Job Requirements:
Requirements – bachelor’s or foreign degree equivalent in any field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years of experience in the sales development and sales management of industrial machines to customers in the automotive industries. Worksite location: Position is based in Schaumburg, Illinois office with option to occasionally work from home office in Chicago metro area.
