Job Description:
Fortinos first store was opened in 1961 in downtown Hamilton, with the promise of good, fresh food, competitive prices, a clean & organized environment, and excellent service. Today the Loblaw-owned Fortinos banner has 28 stores across the GTA reflecting leading edge development in supermarket innovation. Bakery departments offer over 30 varieties of hand-shaped artisanal breads, giant Roman-style pizzas and hot sandwiches.
Now we are looking for a Pizza & Bread Department Manager / Supervisor to join us.
Job Duties:
- Provide exceptional customer service to maintain a positive reputation.
- Order and manage inventory for the pane fresco rotisserie department, ensuring compliance with health codes.
- Organize department setup, maintain inventory levels, and ensure proper signage.
- Supervise staff, including scheduling, training, and ensuring efficiency.
- Conduct hiring processes and train new employees.
- Maximize department sales and profit within budget constraints.
- Maintain equipment and uphold safety and sanitation standards.
- Address customer inquiries, requests, and complaints courteously.
Job Requirements:
- Completion of Secondary School is essential.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, such as a supervisor or assistant manager in a food service or retail environment.
- Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule, sometimes including evenings, weekends and holidays.
