Job Description:

Serve as a collaborative product leader with a member-centric focus to lead the vision, planning, management, go-to-market strategies, and operational support for the digital banking product.  Collaborate with stakeholders and liaise between business and technical teams to enhance the digital banking platform.  Communicate member needs and translate those needs into new product features. 

 

This position is expected to be hybrid.

 

NYC Salary Range - $120,000-$140,000 annually; compensation is commensurate to geographic location.

  • Envision, define, communicate, and drive the strategy, roadmap, and timeline for the Digital Banking platform and other product lines that add value to members and business units.
  • Clearly articulate product plans, benefits, and results to a diverse range of internal stakeholders.
  • Lead teams of multiple stakeholders to identify, recommend, and prioritize product solutions that align with strategic business goals and metrics.
  • Develop a deep understanding of members and business needs, identify product gaps, and propose innovative ideas to enhance member experience and drive growth.
  • Collaborate with developers, business, and marketing teams to create seamless user experiences and ensure product success.
  • Partner with all teams to translate product enhancements into detailed requirements and prototypes for testing, ensuring quick time-to-market delivery.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive product artifacts, including product guides, release plans, and training materials.
  • Support the entire product lifecycle from research and discovery to experimentation and delivery.
  • Lead product launches by collaborating with business teams to develop and align on a go-to-market strategy.
  • Develop transition plans and work with support teams and business units during the transition process.
  • Advocate for Agile product management processes and develop detailed presentations, requirements, product backlog, user stories, and use cases, accounting for all scenarios of a product release.
  • Perform data-driven prioritization of features that meet member and business needs; set minimal viable product releases.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for IT and business units on product features, issues, and priorities.
  • Define success metrics and ensure accurate measurement; monitor and analyze metrics for launched products, and incorporate learnings into the development process.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers on the team to enhance standards and processes.
  • Proactively assess and analyze how members and business lines interact with the products.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
  • Participate in and contribute to department and organization-wide initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations and UNFCU’s Code of Ethics & Business Conduct.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in software product management
  • 3+ years of experience in designing, developing, and deploying web-based products using Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Strong knowledge of best practices in technology product management in retail banking
  • Knowledge of Online/Mobile Banking applications
  • Demonstrated ability to conceive and iterate product feature requirements based on data, analytics, and strategy
  • Experience defining or understanding business metrics that measure the effectiveness of products
  • Experience in defining Epics, Features and writing User Stories
  • Experience in translating enhancements into User Stories
  • Hands on experience in functional validation
  • Able to articulate product technical solutions to development resources
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey product visions compellingly to stakeholders
  • Experience in understanding and defining business metrics that measure product effectiveness
  • Open, collaborative, and a proven team player, capable of initiating and driving projects to completion with minimal guidance
  • Strong interpersonal skills with sensitivity to needs of a geographically distributed membership
  • Strong organizational skills, capable of coordinating and managing all details of a product release from start to finish
