We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and client-focused Mortgage Agent to join our dynamic and growing team. In this rewarding role, you will play a pivotal part in helping clients navigate one of the most important financial decisions of their lives—securing a mortgage. You will be responsible for guiding clients through the entire mortgage process, from initial consultation to final loan approval, while delivering exceptional service and professional advice every step of the way.

As a Mortgage Agent, you will leverage your financial acumen, communication skills, and industry knowledge to recommend tailored mortgage solutions that meet each client’s unique needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Consult with clients to understand their financial goals and explain the various mortgage options available.
Assess clients’ financial profiles, including income, credit, and debt levels, to determine mortgage eligibility.
Recommend the most appropriate mortgage products from a wide range of lenders based on clients’ needs and circumstances.
Complete and review mortgage applications, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all required documentation.
Act as a liaison between clients, financial institutions, real estate agents, and legal professionals to ensure a seamless mortgage process.
Negotiate terms and conditions with lenders to secure the most favorable rates and terms for clients.
Maintain accurate records of all client communications, applications, and transactions using Excel and other CRM or financial software tools.
Provide ongoing support and timely updates to clients throughout the approval process.
Keep abreast of current market trends, lender policies, mortgage regulations, and changes within the financial services sector.
Uphold all compliance standards and maintain strict confidentiality of client information.
Qualifications & Skills:

Excellent mathematical and analytical skills to assess risk and calculate loan terms, interest, and amortization schedules.
Strong customer service orientation, with a passion for helping clients achieve their homeownership goals.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to explain complex financial information clearly and effectively.
Demonstrated ability to negotiate favorable mortgage terms on behalf of clients.
Previous experience in financial services, banking, or mortgage brokerage is an asset.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Previous experience in financial services, banking, or mortgage brokerage (an asset)

Familiarity with mortgage products and lender policies

Technical & Analytical Skills:
Excellent mathematical and analytical abilities

Proficiency in Excel and CRM/financial software tools
