OM Accounting Professional Corporation. has an immediate opening for a Financial Accounting Supervisor (NOC: 12011) at our location in Mississauga, Ontario.
As a Financial Accounting Supervisor (NOC: 12011), you will perform some or all of the following duties:
•Supervises staff accountants and clerical staff to assure that the department accomplishes accounting objectives by selecting, onboarding, assigning, managing, and mentoring employees.
•Authorize payments, credits, deposits and withdrawals
•Create work schedules and procedures
•Work collaboratively with other units to align and coordinate activities
•Identify and effectively resolve work-related issues to maintain smooth operational flow
•Prepare and submit progress and other reports
•Identify training needs and train workers in job duties and company policies
•Order supplies and materials
•Review and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness
•Ensure computer systems and equipment function properly, and organize maintenance and repairs when necessary.
•Perform the same duties as workers supervised.
•Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
•Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and analyzing trends.
Qualifications:
Completion of a college program or courses in bookkeeping, accounting or a related subject is required.
1-2 years of experience in the clerical occupation supervised is required.
Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time (40 hours/week)
Compensation: CA $ 36.00 /hour
