JOB DESCRIPTION




Performs accounting activities with focus on technical research, policies & procedures, and reporting governance to ensure preparation of internal and external financial statements are in accordance with GAAP, Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP) and OCBOA (Other Comprehensive Basis Accounting).



Responsibilities include:

  • Researches on new regulations/ pronouncements and documents the findings with impacts on the Company and presents to impacted business partners.
  • Assists in providing guidance to business partners on technical accounting questions and addresses needs for clarifications to the Company's policies or drafts new policies.
  • Reviews existing policies and procedures for the department and updates of documentation as necessary.
  • Coordinates audit requests and manages the audit progress of all entities by working closely with auditors and business contacts.
  • Ensures work flow procedures and guidelines are clearly documented and communicated.
  • Reviews disclosures within the financials/filings to ensure information is consistent and up to date.
  • Tracks to ensure reconciliations are performed timely and properly, risks and opportunities are identified and reported timely, communications regarding reporting/accounting impacts for internal/external reporting are consistent.





Qualifications:




Education/Requirements:
  • Minimum BA/BS degree, CPA Licensed professional, 1-3 years of experience in Accounting/Public Accounting field.
  • Experience with GAAP, Statutory Basis of Accounting, Other Comprehensive Basis Accounting
