Tasks:
- As a Carpenter at Swiftwood Forest Products Ltd., you will be crafting and installing custom components, profiled millwork, and architectural millwork products according to unique specifications, ensuring they meet the high-quality standards for local commercial and residential projects.; This includes the precise manufacturing of custom window frames, doors, door frames, trusses, hand rails etc.
- You will be utilizing specialized industrial equipment such as saws, edgers, and chippers to shape or cut materials, including old growth Douglas-Fir, Hemlock, WR Cedar, Spruce, Knotty Pine, and Re-Claimed Re-Purposed Lumber & Timbers, to specified measurements for semi-finished and finished products.
- The Carpenter will be performing detailed woodworking tasks to produce high-grade specialized components and cut stock, utilizing both traditional hand tools and advanced machinery to ensure precision and quality in every piece.
- You will be adhering to established safety rules and regulations, maintaining a safe and clean environment within the facility.; This includes the careful operation of chippers, saw, measuring tools, hammer, nail gun, drill and other relevant equipment.
- At Swiftwood Forest Products Ltd., the carpenter will be inspecting and assessing the quality of lumber and finished products, identifying any defects or areas for improvement.; Repairing or replacing damaged or defective parts or sections of structures, ensuring all products meet the company’s high standards before distribution.
- You will be studying specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare final product, determine dimensions and materials required, and ensure that the manufacturing process aligns with customer specifications and quality standards.
- The Carpenter will efficiently move materials around the facility as needed, organizing the worksite to optimize the manufacturing process and ensure the safety and efficiency of the workflow.
- You will be working closely with clients to understand their specific needs and deliver custom millwork products that meet or exceed their expectations, offering solutions and modifications as required to achieve the desired outcome.
