Position: Meat Cutter
NOC: 65202
Starting Date: ASAP
Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled Senior Meat Cutter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, processing, and packaging a variety of meats, training junior meat cutters on duties and work procedures, and ensuring compliance with all health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Cut, portion, and package a range of meats for distribution, ensuring accurate labelling and pricing.
• Operate and maintain meat processing equipment, such as grinders and slicers, to prepare meats according to specified requirements.
• Inspect meat products for quality, ensuring freshness, proper rotation and adherence to expiry dates.
• Keep meat processing equipment, work areas and storage facilities clean and organized, in line with safety and hygiene standards.
• Receive and store meat products according to company protocols, ensuring proper handling to maintain quality.
• Train junior meat cutters on duties and work procedures.
• Strictly adhere to government health and safety regulations and company standards.
Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
Wage: $23-$25 per hour
Regular working hours: 35 hours per week
Location of work: 3767 Nashua Drive, Mississauga, ON, CA L4V 1R3
Benefits package: 10 days of paid vacation annually or 4% of the salary in lieu of paid vacation. Relocation costs are covered by the employer.

Job Requirements:
Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
Work experience:
• A minimum of 1 year of experience as a meat cutter or in a similar role.
• Proficient in using meat-cutting tools and equipment.
• Physically capable of lifting and handling items up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in cold and refrigerated environments.
