POSITION SUMMARY:
The Property Administrator plays a key role in the efficient operation of residential and commercial properties. This position involves overseeing the daily management of properties, ensuring smooth tenant relations, and supporting property owners with key administrative functions. The Property Administrator will coordinate essential services, manage tenant inquiries, and ensure that properties are well-maintained and compliant with regulations. They must demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills to help achieve operational success and maintain tenant satisfaction. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of property management.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage rental or lease agreements for various properties, ensuring compliance with terms, and ensuring the terms are met by tenants and property owners. • Oversee the preparation and administration of contracts for services such as cleaning, maintenance, and security. • Coordinate and monitor the execution of repairs, maintenance, and renovations, ensuring that work progresses on schedule and within the set budget. • Compile and maintain accurate records for operating expenses, income, and rents, ensuring they are aligned with market values and industry standards. • Respond to tenant or client concerns promptly, ensuring effective communication and resolution of issues. • Administer damage deposits and ensure proper handling as per legal requirements. • Oversee the hiring and supervision of support staff such as rental agents, property clerks, and building superintendents, ensuring operational tasks are executed smoothly.
Job Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Education: Completion of secondary (high) school is required • Experience: 1 year of work experience in the position • Languages: Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English
