Job Description

Organize and set up heavy equipment to ensure the accurate movement and placement of materials.
Operate heavy equipment in adherence to the company’s safety measures & procedures.
Load & unload lumber from vehicles with the help of forklift.
Operate equipment to sort and stack lumber by length and thickness, move stacks to storage areas or drying kilns, and feed lumber through planers.
Stacking the lumber and getting it ready to be shipped out.
Conduct inspection of heavy equipment to ensure its proper functioning and keep track of scheduled maintenance.
Provide instructions for any repairs and maintenance of equipment.
Evaluate the performance of equipment and notify the issue to the supervisor.
Finish required paperwork and submit work reports on a routine basis.

Requirements

Completion of Secondary school is required.
A post-secondary education or/and minimum 6-months experience in the field is required.
