Job Description:
Design, develop, and maintain Business Intelligence (BI) and data analytics solutions to extract and analyze data to inform the company’s business and management strategies. Work with client company management, end-users, sales and marketing teams, and other stakeholders to gather business intelligence requirements, including desired analytical reports, visual dashboards, and operational metrics. Analyze the company’s existing BI reporting systems, tools, and reports and assess weaknesses in data quality and retrieval. Develop innovative and effective business intelligence solutions to extract, analyze, and aggregate data from the company’s databases. Create mapping documents to outline the data flow from sources to targets and develop physical data models, specifying database contents, concepts, and sources. Develop analytics reporting systems, visual dashboards, and front-end applications to allow readily access and interpret BI metrics and reports. Visualize and manipulate large data sets to perform needed analytics using tools such as Power BI and Tableau. Synthesize business intelligence and trend data and identify key opportunities for business expansion and to increase operational efficiency. Continuously evaluate the quality and performance of the company’s reporting tools, including end-to-end data flow, real-time data capture, and BI reporting systems. Serve as a subject-matter expert with regards to the company’s BI and data analytics solutions and reports and assist users with generating ad-hoc reports and advanced data modeling. Stay abreast of the latest technological advancements and industry trends in BI, data analytics, and data analysis.
Job Requirements:
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a related field and 6 months of experience in the job offered or a related position. The position requires skills and knowledge in Power BI, DAX, and Power Query M.
