Job Description:
This is a union position located at our West Carleton Environmental Center landfill.
Starting Wage: 33.75/hr.
Start time: 8-hour shifts between 6:30 am and 7 pm
Shift: Some weekends and holidays are included and will be paid at the overtime rate.

I. Job Summary
Sets-up and operates a wide variety of equipment, and performs work per specifications.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
Operates equipment in compliance with the company operating procedure.
Verifies that equipment is in working order, e.g., tooling, safety mechanisms.
Moves and positions raw materials and finished components with use of material moving equipment.
Performs daily maintenance and cleaning activities.

A. Education and Experience
Education: None.
Experience: Five (5) years of previous experience.

Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc.) most of the work day;

Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements rarely;
Normal setting for this job is: shop or field.
The expected base pay range for this position across the Canada is $33.75 hourly. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
