We combine the expertise of acupuncture, massage and cupping therapy, and Traditional Chinese Medicine herbal medicine to empower our patients in their health and wellness journey. We are looking for a dedicated Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner to join our dynamic team.
Position: Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: As soon as possible
Position Available: 1
Hourly Wage: $34.62 -$35.62 (Depending on Working Experience)
Working Hours: 30 hours per week
Working Location: Unit 107, 245 E Columbia St., New Westminster, B.C. V3L 3W4
Benefits: 10 business days of paid vacation or 4% vacation pay
Duties:
•Diagnose patients’ diseases, physiological disorders, and injuries using the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine;
•Clearly explain treatment procedures, associated risks, and benefits to patients;
•Maintain accurate patient records;
•Prescribe and provide treatments, including acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS), Gua Sha, cupping therapy, moxibustion, acupressure, and auriculotherapy;
•Prescribe and provide treatments such as Chinese manipulative therapy (Tui Na), energy control therapy (Qu Gong) and laser therapy;
•Prescribe and administer treatments using raw or granulated herbs, along with other medications or dietary supplements
•Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians , physiotherapists, chiropractors, and psychologists to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients
•Provide home care recommendations and share information on life therapies, including energy control therapy (Qu Gong), Chinese shadow boxing (Tai Ji Quan), and Chinese food cure recipes (Shi Liao);
Job Requirements:
Qualification:
•Completion of a four to five-year diploma program in Traditional Chinese medicine from a private institution, or completion of a program in traditional Chinese medicine from recognized medical schools abroad;
•Registration with a regulatory body is required, which includes completion of an approved registration examination;
•Ability to work individually and in a team environment;
•Working knowledge of English;
•A positive and caring attitude.
