Job Duties:
Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
Post journal entries
Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
Prepare tax returns
Prepare trial balance of books
Reconcile accounts
Complete and submit tax remittance forms and workers' compensation forms
Job Requirements:
Requirements
Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
Experience: A minimum of two years of work experience as a bookkeeper, financial or accounting clerk combined with courses in accounting or bookkeeping are required. In the event that the candidate does not have two years of experience, then completion of a college program in accounting, bookkeeping or a related field OR completion of two years (first level) of a recognized professional accounting program (e.g., Chartered Accounting, Certified General Accounting) are required.
Computer and technology knowledge: MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, MS Word, Sage Accounting Software.
Work conditions and Physical capabilities: Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Repetitive tasks.
Personal suitability: Accurate, Client focus, Dependability, Efficient interpersonal skills, Excellent oral and written communication, Flexibility, Judgement, Organized, Reliability, Team player, Values and ethics.
Language: English is required
Salary: $35.40 per hour, 32 hours per week.

Important Information: Flexibility in schedule is required. The worker will work 8-hour shifts per day that will be scheduled from Thursdays to Sundays, from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. The schedule includes a 30-minute paid lunch break. Work on weekends is required. Overtime work may be required depending on the business needs.
