Job Description:
South to North Contracting Inc.
176 Angelene St., Mississauga, ON, L5G 1X2.
We are currently searching for four experienced Roofers.
Work Location:
Various sites in the GTA
Duties:
• Install built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel
• Install roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings
• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
• Repair or replace shingles and shakes on sloped roofs of buildings
• Repair or replace single-ply roofing systems
• Repair roofing systems
• Instruct apprentices
• Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level
• Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools
• Install sheet metal flashings
• Estimate costs and materials
• Operate CADD and other computer software systems
• Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms
Applicants must be able to demonstrate extensive experience in roofing.
You will be required to train apprentices.

Own tools/equipment:
• Tools, Safety equipment/gear, Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Safety glasses/goggles, Safety harnes
Weight handling:
• More than 45 kg (100 lbs)
Credentials:
• Working at heights training
• Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) clearance Certificate
• Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
• Fall Arrest Protection Training Course
Requirements:
• 2-3 years of work experience with roofing
Language of work:
English
Terms of Employment:
Permanent Position/40 hours per week
Hours of Work:
From Monday to Friday
The shift is from 7 am to 3 pm
Salary:
From CAD$ 34.07 to CAD$ 37.00 per hour
Transportation/travel information:
• Willing to travel
• Valid driver's license
