Job Description:
Arrangement: Permanent, Full-time
Title: Financial Control Officer
Hours of Work: 30 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Location: Unit 11-120 West Beaver Creek Road, Richmond Hill, ON, L4B1L2
Salary: $40.00 – $42.00 per hour
Paid Vacation: 2 weeks per year

SeaMax Trading Ltd. is a Japanese food supplier operating in Richmond Hill, Ontario. We supply fresh and high-quality seafood to 500+ restaurants and supermarkets in southern Ontario. Our mission is to carefully select only the finest seafood ingredients for our clients at an attractive price.
We are looking for a competent and detail-oriented Financial Control Officer to join us.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Communicate with the management members for the selection and implementation of accounting systems and software
• Create and follow policies and procedures for accurate financial recordkeeping
• Establish and maintain processes for identifying, reporting and managing internal cost factors
• Manage payroll and communicate with employees regarding compensation, tax reductions and benefits and other related matters
• Collect and organize financial data and review current and previous financial documents and records
• Examine and analyze financial information and generate financial statements and performance reports
• Review tax regulations, prepare income tax returns and ensure the accuracy of financial statements and records
• Provide financial advice to the management for better financial practices and decisions
• Meet with other department managers to prepare budgets
Qualifications
• Minimum bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 2 years of experience as Financial Control Officer or in similar roles
• English reading, written and verbal skills
• Accurate, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, judgement, organized, reliability
