Job Description:
Winter Park Custom Homes Ltd. located at 2186 198 Street, Langley, BC, V2Z 1Y8 urgently requires two permanent and full-time Carpenter. We welcome and encourage youth, new immigrants, and aboriginal candidates to apply.
Job Duties :
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings and hardware.
• Maintain, repair and renovate wooden structures in residential and commercial buildings.
• Supervise other workers.
Job Requirements:
Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
Experience: Minimum two years of experience in a relevant field.
Language: English is required
Wage: $30.00 per hour for 40 hours per week along with 4% Vacation Pay.
