“Booster Prep Inc.” in Scarborough, ON is now hiring a full time and permanent ‘Software Developer’ to join our team.
JOB TITLE: Software Developer
LOCATION: 3300 McNicoll Ave. Scarborough, ON M1V 5J6 (1 Vacancy)
JOB TYPE: Regular
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Permanent; Full-time
ANTICIPATED START DATE: As soon as Possible
SALARY: $47.00 per Hour
HOURS OF EMPLOYMENT: 30-35 hours/week
WORK SETTING: Office
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design, develop, and maintain the online platform where courses are hosted. This includes user interfaces, dashboards, and interactive elements.
• Implement features for managing and organizing course content, including videos, practice tests, and study materials
• Integrate with third-party tools or services, such as payment gateways, analytics platforms, and educational tools.
• Work on improving the user experience of the platform, ensuring it is intuitive and responsive across different devices
• Gather and analyse user feedback to make improvements and fix issues
• Develop systems for user registration, authentication, and profile management
• Write and execute unit tests, integration tests, and perform manual testing to ensure the software is robust and free of bugs
• Create and maintain technical documentation for future reference and to aid other developers or team members
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
• Completion of college in related field is preferred
• Minimum 7 months to 1 year of experience preferred in the similar position
• Good English communication skills
• Knowledge of electronic mail, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Powerpoint and MS Word
• Able to work in fast paced environment, work under pressure, flexibility, client focus, reliability, organized, team player and accurate
• Able to work independently and in a team, flexible, good time management, organizational and Interpersonal Skills.

• Salesforce, MAC, Intranet, Programming software, Software development
Programming Languages
• ASP, XML Technology (XSL, XSD, DTD), Java, JavaScript, JSP, CSS, Object-Oriented programming languages, PHP, SQL, ASP.NET, JQuery, .NET, HTML, XML
