Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and compliance. This role is essential to upholding our high standards of service and supporting our commitment to excellence in client relations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the business owner (CPA) in developing and implementing firm policies, procedures, and best practices to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
• Supervise and coordinate workflow, set work priorities, and assign duties to accounting technicians, ensuring deadlines are met and policies are adhered to.
• Hire, train, and mentor accounting technicians, providing guidance for their professional growth.
• Oversee the preparation, review, and finalization of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Manage client engagements in areas such as bookkeeping, payroll, tax compliance, and advisory services, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and other financial documents prepared by the team, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Supervise the preparation and filing of tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Canadian tax laws.
• Conduct quality control checks to maintain the accuracy and integrity of client financial data.
Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent
Wage: $35–$38 per hour, depending on experience
Regular Working Hours: 32.5 hours per week
Location of Work: 500-10 Kingsbridge Garden Circle, Mississauga, ON, CA L5R 3K6
Benefits Package: 2 weeks of paid vacation annually or 4% of salary in lieu of paid vacation

• Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting principles and tax regulations
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Education: Minimum college diploma in bookkeeping, accounting or a related field
