Job Description: ICEN Property Services is seeking a Rope Access Technician (TEER 72999) for Greater Vancouver Area. It is a full-time, permanent position, 30-40 hours/week, $32.00/hourly. Vacation 4%. Sorry, we do not offer any benefits. Start date as soon as possible.
As a Rope Access Technician, you will be expected to perform the following duties: Performs scope of work to completion and satisfaction of the client. Perform Rope Access tasks as necessary. Maintain personal kit equipment and conduct equipment checks on a regular basis. Maintain and utilize group work equipment effectively, minimizing and preventing damage. Assist in set up and take down of personal and group equipment at each job site. Evaluate environment to identify and assess work problems and create solutions to improve productivity and product quality. Be responsible for personal safety and safety of coworkers. Follow and abide by the method of work for each scope of work. Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work with other subcontractors. Attend daily safety meetings to review the daily Field Level Risk Assessments. Sign off on the daily FLRAs. Review and sign off on the Master Risk Assessment and Method Statement for each job site. Review and sign off on the Rope Access Work and Rescue Plan for each job site. Understands the hazards and controls of each job site. Follow and abide to the regulations in the ICEN Employee Manual. Complete daily tasks in the allotted time frame. Be a good representative of ICEN Property Services on site to clients and general public. Identify and report to supervisor any unsafe practices at work and/or any damage. Read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and technical drawings. Meet company and client standards.
Job Requirements: Demonstrate specialized experience and skills: Use hand and power tools to clean buildings. Follow building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications to maintain a safe working environment and comply with standards. Ensure the proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment, reporting any issues or malfunctions. Demonstrate proficient technical skills as a rope access technician. Demonstrate specialized experience in construction skills. Execute Rope Access tasks as necessary. Compile and submit reports promptly. Carry out work in adherence to local safety and quality protocols, ensuring operational safety for all equipment. Travel to diverse work locations within the Vancouver greater area as needed. Foster collaboration among operations, technical, and maintenance teams to develop innovative problem-solving solutions. Fulfill additional duties as assigned. Requirements: Must have Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA) Certification Construction certifications (Fall Protection) are an asset but not necessary. Recent and extensive rope access experience. Strong construction background an asset. Completion of high school or equivalent is a requirement. Minimum of 2 years of directly relevant work experience. Capable of lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds. Excellent organizational skills are a must. Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English. Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with coworkers and customers. Maintain a tidy and well-organized workspace. Proficiency with tools is essential. Time management is crucial, demonstrating the ability to meet deadlines while surpassing customer expectations. Openness to discussing and considering alternative opinions and ideas. Strong work ethic and a positive attitude. Both physically and mentally fit. Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. Able to provide at least one professional reference upon request.
