We are currently looking for a qualified, experienced and professional “CNC Machinist” to join our team. As a “CNC Machinist” you will be working closely with the other staff and will be helping and suggesting new creative ways to make our tools easier to use.
JOB DESCRIPTION EMPLOYER: Allingham Machining Inc. JOB TITLE: CNC Machinist (1 Vacancy) JOB LOCATION: 17 Edvac Drive, Brampton, ON L6S 5X8 CANADA. TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: Regular; Permanent; Full time ANTISIPATED START TIME: As soon as possible SALARY: $29.00 per hour HOURS OF EMPLOYMENT: 30 to 35 hours/week WORK SETTING: Manufacturing
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Read, interpret and analyze technical drawings and specifications to understand the manufacturing requirements for each job. • Install, setup and configure tools, fixtures, and materials on CNC machines for each production run, ensuring proper alignment and calibration. • Measure, fit, assemble and examine machine parts using prevision instruments to ensure they meet exact specifications and tolerance. • Perform routine maintenance, inspection, cleaning and troubleshooting on CNC machines to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment life. • Accurately record production details, machine settings, and any issues encountered during the machining process • Conduct regular quality checks throughout the production process, identifying and correcting any defects • Verify dimensions of the final product using precise measuring instruments • Select the appropriate tools, machines and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work • Draw guidelines or markings on materials and workpieces using patterns or other references and machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders
Job Requirements: • Completion of Secondary School is required • 7 months to 1 year of proven experience in the position of CNC Machinist or related position is strongly preffered • Should be able to handle up to 23kg weight • Must have his own steel-toed safety boots • Previous experience using Gauges, micrometers, calipers, caliber and Vernier tools is preferred • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented multi-tasking environment • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and high level of confidentiality, integrity, ethics and professionalism and should be fluent in English • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented multi-tasking environment • Ability to work independently, flexible, good time management, organizational, good team work and Interpersonal Skills.
