Job Description:
• Use SAP and ERP software to monitor inventory and manage deliveries.
• Research and apply correct HS codes for import and export shipments.
• Facilitate import and export operations under the regulations of several branches in different countries, including the US Customs and Border Protection.
• Prepare international shipping documents, including bills of lading, cargo control documents, and packing lists.
• Review and manage shipping and export documents, including shipping receipt logs, customs clearance documents, price charts, and sales history records.
• Research and calculate the proper freight rates and tariffs for several countries.
• Liaise with freight forwarders to ensure compliance with US Customs and timely delivery to customers.
• Develop and implement practices and procedures for international logistics.
• Coordinate with the Adairsville plant on a weekly basis to finalize customer forecasts and order requirements.
• Facilitate regular communication with SCM/HQ personnel in Korea and management at the Georgia plant to ensure efficient logistics processes and customer satisfaction.
• Provide instructions to warehouses on pickup, delivery, and other transportation arrangements.
• Monitor both inbound and outbound shipping schedules.
• Manage physical inventory at the warehouse and system inventory in SAP.
• Ensure the correct operation of the material master in WMS and registration of ERP codes in SAP.
• Compile weekly and monthly sales recaps for management to support strategic decision-making.
Job Requirements:
Preferred an associate's degree or higher degree in a related field such as Logistics, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration,
At least one (1) year of work experience in logistics or a closely related field.
Certifications such as the Certified Logistics Associate (CLA), Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD), or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) are highly advantageous.
Proficiency in both Korean and English is essential for effective communication with all stakeholders involved in the logistics chain, enhancing collaboration and ensuring the seamless transfer of goods between the U.S. and Korea.
