Position Title: Manager – Data Engineering
Location: 1900 Camden Ave., Suite 66, San Jose, CA 95124
Position Responsibilities: Understand and translate customer needs into business and technology solutions via the range of cloud methodologies and/or solutions that drive business value. Interact with end-users, business, and IT team to gather requirements, interpret specifications, analyze, and evaluate present business systems, procedures, and processes. Manage end-to-end delivery by investigating problem areas, work cross functionally with product managers and different stakeholders. Follow the Agile development methodology; think strategically and execute methodically. Develop and manage capacity and growth projection forecasts of the environment within budgets and propose cost optimization best practices. Create and maintain optimal data pipeline medallion architecture, assemble large, complex datasets that meet both functional and non-functional business requirements. Drive industry standards best practices to optimize solutions, testing and tooling to improve quality of solutions. Manage teams that build and operate high volume distributed systems in a SaaS environment. Devise efficient processes that increase velocity and quality. Train counterparts in the data pipelining and preparation techniques, which make it easier for them to integrate and consume the data they need for their own use cases. Promote the available data and analytics capabilities and expertise to business unit leaders and educate them in leveraging these capabilities in achieving their business goals. Accountable for operational effectiveness in performance, uptime, release management of the enterprise data platform.
Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field, PLUS five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a related position. Experience must include demonstrable knowledge of: Azure Data Factory; Azure Databricks; Azure Synapse Analytics; Azure Stream Analytics; Azure SQL; Azure Data Lake, Azure DevOps; Spark SQL; Python; CICD Pipelines; Ansible; Erwin; Visio; SSIS; WhereScape; SQL Server; Oracle; Teradata; Infosphere Governance Catalog; Autosys, ServiceNow, PowerShell Scripting; Unix Scripting; SpotFire, and Power BI. Travel to unanticipated client locations throughout the U.S. approximately 30%, as required. May telecommute from any location within the U.S.
