Job Description:
Position Summary:
Industrial Designer I supports all Snap-on Business Units to design products aligned with product development goals. The primary function of the role is to lead the design of products with the guidance of an Industrial Design Manager and Product Managers, while also interfacing with customers to gather insights using the established stage-gate Innovation process.
This associate supports product design, ergonomic development and branding consistency across all brands within Snap-on.
KEY TASKS
- Lead the design of products from inception through commercialization, working with various Business Units and Snap-on partners
- Regularly interface with end-users to develop customer insights and, ultimately, new product ideas
- Execute on objectives and project plans in line with Business Unit goals and customer needs
- Contribute to guiding product branding, ergonomic development and usability across all Snap-on Brands
- Consistently review project plans, schedules, progress, expenditures and priorities to ensure goals are being met
- Regularly interface with Engineering, Marketing, and Product Management teams
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design with
- 0-2 years of professional experience
- A design portfolio must be submitted for consideration

- Demonstrates a basic knowledge of UI/UX development
- Foundational knowledge of engineering and manufacturing practices
