Job Description:
The City of Pueblo wants to hire you as Emergency Medical Officer (EMO)! This full-time position offers you a variety of benefits that provide a great work/life balance, a rewarding work environment, and an annual salary of $95,538.12. As an EMO, you will have all the job duties, responsibilities, and authority of a Firefighter with the additional duties and responsibilities of the lead emergency medical provider. You will respond to a wide variety of emergency and non-emergency calls for service, assume command as needed, and perform emergency care as needed. You will perform general firefighting skills as needed, maintain the apparatus, medical equipment, protective clothing and house dress as prescribed. You will also Perform hazardous tasks requiring strenuous exertion under emergency and non-emergency conditions. You will also complete necessary Fire Department forms, participate in continuing education programs, and instruct CPR and EMS classes.
