Job Description:
ABOUT THE POSITION: We're seeking an experienced Vice President of Operations to lead our organization through a period of significant growth. This role entails strategizing, directing, and coordinating all operational activities to optimize efficiency and implement cost-effective systems. The Vice President of Operations will drive the development and execution of plans to meet both current and future organizational requirements.
Job Responsibilities and Duties as include but not limited to:
Identify opportunities for market growth and expansion, including potential new product lines, market segments, and geographical locations.
Ensure all aspects of client contract are effectively communicated, managed, and documented.
Build strong business relationships with clients by analyzing and solving underlying issues, and devising solution-oriented approaches that result in positive outcomes.
Define both short-term and long-term goals for the produce market and the wholesale division, ensuring alignment with overall organizational objectives and current market trends.
Establish financial controls, manage expenses, monitor revenue streams, and ensure profitability, while devising and endorsing promotional campaigns to boost sales and engage clientele within budgetary and marketing constraints.
Appoint middle managers, directors, or other executive staff members and cultivate an environment conducive to optimal performance.
Provide oversight and guidance to each department manager to foster collaboration, innovation, and accountability across all operational areas.
Assign material, human, and financial resources to support the implementation of organizational policies and programs, ensuring efficient utilization and cost-effectiveness, while optimizing resource allocation to maximize productivity, minimize waste, and maintain high standards of quality and customer service.
Regularly assess the performance of department heads and senior staff, offering feedback and guidance to support their professional growth and enhance their performance.
Represent on behalf of the company in industry events, and community engagements, fostering positive relationships and promoting the company's brand image.
Address employee concerns or grievances promptly and implement strategies to enhance employee morale and retention.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in business administration, management or related field would be preferred.
Job Requirements:
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams towards achieving organizational goals.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Proficiency in financial management, budgeting, and strategic planning.
