We are now recruiting a Vice President to join the management team. This position is responsible for providing effective leadership in all general aspects of our operations, such as strategic branding, marketing, and business exploration activities. The ideal candidate will be an experienced senior manager who has exceptional managerial and communication skills.
Job Duties:
1. Take charge of developing the company’s strategic objectives, identifying business growth opportunities, and leading contract negotiations.
2. Supervise each department's daily operations and monitor the performance of construction projects through each step, from planning and scheduling to execution.
3. Devise appropriate company policies to guide employees and ensure project outcomes align with client expectations.
4. Monitor all project progress, address issues or potential challenges arising at the site, and lead the troubleshooting procedures to reach satisfying results.
5. Take control of the company’s financial accounts and approve financial budgets based on the internal forecast of company expenses on top of the retained earnings.
6. Maintain the financial health of the company by preserving enough cash flow, reviewing the current earning performance, analyzing variances, and identifying new growth potentials.
7. Oversee the allocation of human resources to various construction projects. Monitor workload distribution to prevent overburdening of employees and optimize productivity.
8. Foster a positive workplace culture by promoting teamwork, collaboration, and self-improvement. Conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide constructive feedback, recognition for achievements, and guidance for improvement as needed.
9. Participate in the recruitment of mid-level managers and team leaders as well as providing essential orientations to bring them up to speed with our projects.
10. Review the company’s internal safety protocols to minimize accidents and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and industry standards.
11. Evaluate and implement mitigation strategies for risks integrated with each project regarding legal, financial, and operational aspects.
12. Foster tight relationships with key clients and partners, adjust negotiation approaches based on feedback, and represent the company to attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
Job Requirements:
1. At least a college diploma in engineering, business administration, commerce, or relevant experience in a similar field is required.
2. A minimum of three years’ working experience as a middle manager or higher rank is required.
3. Former experience in managing a construction-related business is an asset.
4. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
5. Possess strong strategic leadership skills that inspire staff for better performance.
6. Able to manage multiple tasks at once and maintain high efficiency across the board.
7. Show self-initiative and enthusiasm in the construction line of work.
8. Display a professional work ethic at all times.
