The incumbent in this position is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation and delivery of high quality pharmaceutical services. Work of the graduate pharmacist is conducted under the review and supervision of the registered pharmacist.
Essential Job Functions
* Supports and models behaviors consistent with Billings Clinic's mission, vision, values, code of business conduct and service expectations. Meets all mandatory organizational and departmental requirements. Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental and outside agency standards as it relates to the environment, employee, patient safety or job performance.
* Reviews and interprets physician orders to ensure appropriate medication use. Contacts physician to clarify any questionable order.
* Carefully checks all data entry, medication carts, and ADM fills for accuracy.
* Works under Collaborative Practice Agreement
* Participates as needed in clinical programs and/or functions as a clinical pharmacist.
* Assists in the training and orientation of new employees, students, and residents. Provides assistance, direction, and clinical supervision of the pharmacy technical staff.
* Documents and is accountable for all clinical pharmacy interventions.
* Performs other duties as assigned or as needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BSPharm) OR Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)
Certifications and Licenses
Current active Montana license as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh)
