Job Description:
Job Summary

The Facilities & EHS Manager manages the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, and facilities across building for the Medical Fluid Components division of Nordson Corporation. The role maintains overall Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security responsibility for the Loveland site. The role provides consultation to other corporate and division sites, as needed.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

* Drives engagement in safety vision, Journey to Zero, to prevent incidents through focus on unsafe behaviors and conditions.
* Develops Facilities plan and budget in-line with annual operating plan; proposes annual Capex Budget for Safety, facilities & maintenance needs each year.
* Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency across the site.
* Create and oversee a preventative maintenance program that minimizes downtime and aligns with production schedules.
* Manage asset tracking, maintenance scheduling, and spare parts inventory control.
* Act as a key liaison between maintenance, engineering, production, and other departments, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
* Design and deploy Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve maintenance team performance, equipment reliability, and maintenance response times.
* Utilize KPIs to set performance targets, monitor progress, and provide data-driven insights for decision-making.
* Foster a culture of accountability by clearly defining responsibilities and expectations for the maintenance team, conducting regular performance reviews, and providing constructive feedback and corrective action and documentation best practices.
* Manage a team of maintenance technicians & an EHS technician.
* Plans, budgets, and schedules facility modifications and renovations, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials and other related costs. Provides analysis and justification to facilities Capex spend.
* Performs diligence on new facilities, acquired facilities or facility expansions. Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout.
* Provides Facility oversight and planning to support production ramps including modifications to electrical, mechanical, plumbing, as well as providing storage needs.
* Establishes, executes and controls environmental, health, safety and security standards. Assures site is compliant to local, state laws concerning regulatory EHS requirements. Coordinates local, state, corporate audits.
* Identifies, solicits approval, implements campus security program and improvements.
* Partners with corporate EHSS to develop policy and procedures to assure a compliant EHSS program.
* Manages a network of external resources (suppliers, contractors) as well as internal resources to achieve intended results. Negotiates contracts and provides oversight of service providers including janitorial, HVAC, landscaping, and others as appropriate.
* Responds to facilities alarms with containment and corrective action; as needed.
* Availability outside of working hours, as needed.
* Other duties may be assigned as required.

Education and Experience Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree in facility management, engineering, or business; equivalent work experience accepted.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in facility management; including experience managing in a manufacturing environment.

* Effective communicator, capable of aligning team and cross-departmental efforts.
* Experience with space utilization, facility and production layout; Lean 3P methods preferred.
* Thorough knowledge of OSHA requirements and hazardous waste requirements.
* Ability to read blueprints and other technical documentation.
* Experience with facility and preventive maintenance.
* Experience with emergency and disaster response.
* Demonstrated ability to interact in a positive, respectful manner; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
* Excellent Customer Service skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication.

Base Salary Range for this position is: $107,000 to $130,000, and bonus target is 10%; shift premium may be available depending on shift associated with the specific job opportunity. In addition to Paid Time Off and paid Holidays, each employee receives 16 hours paid time each calendar year to perform volunteer services for Nordson-sponsored events. The base salary pay range for this job level is a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, business considerations, and local market conditions, as well as candidate qualifications, such as education, experience, and skills.
