Business Analyst (Hybrid in Columbia, SC)
An AgFirst Business Analyst will participate in project teams supporting the development, modification, implementation, and installation of new systems and applications. The analyst will translate high-level business requirements into detailed functional specifications and assist developers throughout the project to promote a better understanding and prevent and resolve defects. What you'll do
- Collaborates with the project team to ensure the team defines, builds, and produces features and solutions that meet or exceed expectations of the Product Owner and customer.
- Develops functional specifications, by considering the client needs, the user experience, and system and project constraints.
- Acts as a liaison between the IT development group and the Product Owner to facilitate understanding and continuously refine specifications.
- Ensures that accepted criteria are clear to avoid re-work.
- Develop the project's test/quality strategy.
- Ensures adequate test coverage, designs test scenarios, executes testing, and participates in defect triaging.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 2 - 4 years of experience with IT systems implementations and software testing.
- Working knowledge of project management techniques, with Agile methodology preferred.
- Ability to establish priorities and organize assignments, and to work effectively within timelines and under general supervision.
- Experience with software testing, automated test experience preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
