Job Description:
Big Guns Roofing Ltd is looking for experienced Roofers
Greater Vancouver area, BC.
Permanent, Full time job
Wage - $ 28.00 CAD per hour
Main duties:
Measure roofs to calculate the quantities of materials needed;
Build and repair roofs using various materials and tool, replace damaged or rotting joists or plywood;
Lay new roofing materials such as hot asphalt and gravel to make the roof weatherproof;
Build, repair or replace single-ply roofing system using waterproof sheet materials;
Install asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes on sloped roofs of buildings;
Apply waterproof coatings to concrete surfaces;
Install sheet metal flashings, insulation, vapor barriers and vents;
Install and repair metal roofing systems;
Use hand tools and other equipment (e.g. scaffold, ladder).
In order to succeed in this role, you will need:
2-3 years of experience in the trade
Good English
Completion of secondary school
