Job Description:
Role Overview:
As our company, OIAMODA J, continues to establish itself as a prominent boutique-style retailer of women's clothing and accessories, the need for a Merchandiser has become increasingly crucial. The ideal candidate will be responsible for procuring fashion clothes, contacting suppliers and overseeing the procurement operations. Duties will also include reviewing requisition requests and preparing purchase orders to solicit bids for goods and services.
What will you do in this role?
Accountable for all purchasing activities, managing suppliers in a fast-paced volume environment.
Review the requirements of our company and determine the quantity and type of merchandise to purchase
Sourcing suppliers based on price, availability, necessity, quality and logistical expenses and visiting trade shows, showrooms, factories and product design events
Negotiating sale agreements and supply contracts in ways that benefit our company
Coordinating with shipping agencies and sellers to ensure timely deliveries and oversee the integrity and quality of delivered goods and services
Develops and maintains relationships with clients and suppliers
Job Requirements:
Expected Qualifications
Minimum bachelors degree in business, marketing or a related program
Minimum 3+ years of buyer/procurement work experience in retail or wholesale establishments
Minimum 3+ years of experience in fashion and textile merchandise line.
Ability to work under pressure and achieve deadlines.
Strong team players with the ability to build strong relationships with sales, clients, and supplies.
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and ability to follow policies and procedures.
Ability to work independently and to supervise team members.
