Job Description:
Certified Millwrights are the rockstars of Tolko Industries Ltd. You don’t just do regular PMs, troubleshoot issues and keep machines running. You keep our business running and you do so in a way that keeps our employees and equipment safe.
We’re looking for 15 Red Seal Millwrights to join our High Level Division at 11401 – 92 Street, High Level, Alberta, Canada T0H 1Z0. Our High Level Lumber Division safely and sustainably produces forest products for customers around the world so they can build their homes and their communities.
Your ideal workday will look something like this:
1. You’ll work with a high-performance team dedicated to maintaining all mill machinery including pumps, conveyors, compressors, mechanical systems, rollers and chains, bearings and hydraulic systems involved in the manufacturing process.
2. You’ll keep our systems running smoothly by performing preventative and predictive maintenance. This includes inspecting machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
3. You’ll work to find safe, creative ways to improve equipment reliability and streamline our processes.
4. You’ll apply your knowledge, skills and experience to troubleshoot issues and come up with safe, reliable fixes to keep the mill running.
5. You’ll share your knowledge with the next generation of maintenance rockstars – our Apprentices.

What We’re Looking For:
· Certified Red Seal/Journeyman Millwright, or
· Skilled Millwright or Fitter with eligibility to challenge the Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) journeyman exam with at least 9600 hours of experience (eligibility must be verified through successful registration of Trade Secrets, Trades Qualifier – Work Experience Program).

Required Skills and Abilities (must haves):
· Proficient in daily maintenance, installation, repair and troubleshooting of the following equipment:
· Hydraulics
· Drives (motors with gearboxes)
· Conveyors
· Pumps
· Bearings
· Able to accurately read blueprints, plans and schematic drawings.
· Able to plan own work and follow work procedures and process.
· Able to work safely at heights and have strong rigging practices.
· Competent in using measuring tools such as tape, caliper, micrometer.
· Basic welding experience is beneficial.
· Able to coach and mentor apprentices.
· Able to read, write and speak fluently in English.
Other Requirements
· Experience with Computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is beneficial.
· Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
· Must provide acceptable employment references.
· Must be available to work various compressed weekend shift schedules such as: 3 day 12-hour dayshift schedule Friday-Sunday; 3 day 12-hour dayshift schedule Saturday-Monday; or 5 day 8-hour swing rotation Monday-Friday.
