Job Description:
Functioning under moderate supervision, the Assistant Manager (AM) will work with the nurse manager in providing leadership to the department. The actions and attitudes of the AM promotes and supports the mission and vision of the organization, nursing service and the Surgical Services department at CRMC. The AM demonstrates competence with nursing process to provide patient care and patient/family teaching. The practitioner organizes and implements safe, therapeutic, and efficient patient care in controlled settings with predictable outcomes. Patients served may include neonate through adult-geriatric.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing
Currently licensed as an RN in the State of Maryland
Successful completion of required hospital, nursing and unit orientation, including but not limited to BCLS, ACLS and PALS certification requirements: Professional Certification preferred.
Three to five years’ experience in Surgical Services with demonstrated understanding and support for the model of care delivery, throughput initiatives and importance of striving for satisfactory patient experience.
