Job Description:
Functioning under moderate supervision, the Registered Nurse is, at minimum, a competent practitioner. This level clinician utilizes the nursing process in providing patient care and patient/family teaching. The practitioner organizes and implements safe, therapeutic, and efficient patient care in controlled settings with predictable outcomes. Patients served may include neonate through adult-geriatric.
Job Requirements:
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland, or eligible to practice due to Compact state agreements outlined through the MD Board of Nursing, is required.
- Up-to-date status on all mandatory training and classes.
- One year nursing experience. Solid knowledge and clinical skills.
- Diploma in nursing or associate degree in nursing required.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Candidates in the operating room must have 6 months experience in operating room nursing and one year’s experience as a Scrub Technician. OR candidates must also demonstrate proficiency in the circulatory nurse’s role. If employed in other specialty areas, certification in specialty is preferred.
