Job Description:
Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer: Lead the design, development, and maintenance of cloud and hybrid-cloud infrastructure solutions using the Google Cloud Platform. Work with clients and software developers to gather business requirements and develop effective cloud software systems solutions to improve the operational efficiency and performance of client systems. Develop detailed cloud infrastructure designs and architecture by preparing data models, flow charts, schematic diagrams, and mappings of data sources, transformations, and data movement. Review project objectives, requirements, and feedback with the infrastructure team and determine project scope, goals, phases, and timelines. Perform workload migrations from clients’ existing software to the Google Cloud Platform and build experimental hybrid-cloud solutions on top of other systems and applications such as Kubernetes and Anthos. Implement Infrastructure-as-code environment automation and develop automated CI/CD pipelines. Test cloud infrastructure for any performance and security issues and debug the application to ensure quality and performance. Perform software flow analysis, software performance tuning, software documentation, debugging, and Unit and Integration testing. Customize features for clients’ existing cloud infrastructure to improve existing infrastructure and user friendliness. Create and maintain documentation and user manuals for cloud and hybrid-cloud software. Review the code and work deliverables of other cloud infrastructure engineers and provide leadership and guidance to junior-level staff. Stay abreast of the latest technological advances and industry trends to ensure optimal performance and effective cloud solutions development.
Job Requirements:
Requirements: The position requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and three years of experience in the job offered or a related position. This can be substituted with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and five years of experience in the job offered or a related position. The position requires skills and knowledge in Terraform, MySQL, JavaScript, Python, HTML, Web Services, Kubernetes, and Docker. The position requires Incidental Travel- 1 % of the time, not more than several days a few times a year.
Salary: $173,340.00 to $235,935.00 per year
