Main Location: 6243 131A Street Surrey, BC V3X 1P5
Work Location: Candidates are required to work at various locations in Lower Mainland, Greater Vancouver, as per company contracts.
Wage rate: $28.85 per hour (40 hours per week)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Weekend, Day, overtime if required.
Education: High School
Experience: 2-3 years of relevant experience.
Language: Basic Knowledge of English.
Job Duties:
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitute, and other materials.
• Go through given specifications, calculate requirements.
• Study specifications in blueprints, sketches or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and material required.
• Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in other establishments.
• May prepare cost estimates for clients.
• Maintain safe and secure working environment.
• Fit, install and trim such as molding, stairs, and hardware.
• Assemble and fasten material to make framework or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, and nail guns.
Working Conditions: Candidate should be able to lift weight (50lbs). Should be willing to work outdoors, indoors, rain, or shine.
Other Information: Candidate must be eligible to work in Canada. Position is available and open to Aboriginal persons, youth, new immigrants, and persons with disabilities
