Job Description:
Hope Truck & Trailer Repair Ltd at 61980 Flood Hope Road, Hope, BC is hiring diesel mechanic helpers for full time and permanent position. Duties would be to assist in routine maintenance and repairing of vehicles such as changing oil, checking batteries, lubricating equipment, and machinery on heavy duty/diesel trucks. Move tools, equipment and other materials to and from work areas. Hold stakes and, perform miscellaneous laboring activities to help tradespersons, apprentices and other workers as directed. Clean machines and immediate work areas after the installation. Ensuring all tools, materials, and equipment are in good working order, completing preventative maintenance on the associated equipment. No formal education is required. No experience is required. On job training will be provided. Previous experience as mechanic helper will be an asset. Language required is English. Minimum work of 30-40 hours per week will be given along with 2 days off per week. Salary of $ 22.00/hr will be given. Overtime will be paid if any. Other benefits as per company policy.
