Job Description:
9045627 CANADA INCORPORATED O/A ZLP Tech has immediate opening for Network Technician (NOC: 22220) at our location in Toronto, Ontario.
As a Network Technician, you will perform the following duties:
• Install and configure network hardware, software, and related equipment, such as routers, switches, firewalls, servers, and storage devices.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as checking network performance, monitoring network security, and performing data backups.
• Troubleshoot network issues, identify the root cause of the problem, and implement appropriate solutions.
• Provide technical support to end-users, including resolving network-related issues and answering user queries.
• Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure the smooth functioning of the network, including software developers, system administrators, and database administrators.
• Monitor network traffic and usage to identify and prevent potential security breaches, such as unauthorized access and data theft.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest networking technologies and trends, and recommend upgrades and improvements to the network infrastructure as necessary.
• Create and maintain documentation related to network architecture, configurations, and procedures.
• Provide training to end-users on network usage and best practices for network security.
• Participate in the planning and implementation of new network projects, including designing network architecture, selecting appropriate hardware and software, and testing and deploying new solutions.
Qualifications:
• Completion of a college or other program in computer science, network administration, Web technology or a related field is usually required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience or training in relevant field is required.
Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time (40 hours/week)
Compensation: $ 35.00/hour
