Job Description:
Snap-on Inc., a global premiere tool and equipment manufacturer, has an opportunity in our Industrial Business Group - Military & Defense team, reporting to the National Sales Manager. This role focuses on demonstrating and providing training to our customers on product in our Diagnostic and Equipment lines.



In this role you will leverage your extensive experience with tools including Diagnostic products as well as Equipment such as A/C machines, wheel balancers, lifts, and aligners, to name a few. As the successful candidate, you must have the ability to understand, demonstrate, and train on diagnostic and shop equipment in the Military & Defense market. Additionally, you will provide product and sales training to our direct sales associates, leading large project sales initiatives. Finally, you will be required to demonstrate solid business acumen around return on investment, productivity, and safety.



This position is remote based and will require extensive travel throughout the United States, with some international travel to Asia and Europe. The ideal candidate will reside in the central United Sates with close proximity to a major airport, in states such as Kansas, Texas, Missouri, Illinois, or Colorado.






  • Travel to Military locations to present training curriculum to Activate duty and Civilian customers.

  • Prepare and present effective presentations on product knowledge and application, as well as safety and ergonomics.

  • Work with Account Managers to present and demonstrate Snap-on product including but not limited to: Diagnostics, Diagnostic software upgrades, Equipment, Torque, Power Tools, Automated Tool Control (ATC), Tool Control software, Military specific tools, and miscellaneous hand tools.

  • Work with Regional Sales Managers and the National Sales Manager to develop a schedule for demonstrating product in a demonstration vehicle.

  • Partner in the design of the demonstration vehicle internal display in order to effectively present Snap-on Tools to our customers.

  • Maintain the demonstration vehicle’s appearance and operation per established guidelines, utilizing corporate fleet vendor.

  • Maintain and refine the existing paid training curriculum.

  • Introduce new Military product ideas for further development.

  • Leverage solutioneering capabilities to help the customer solve issues and improve productivity.

  • Identify customer needs and generate accurate quotes, process orders and leverage various systems to respond to customer inquiries.

  • Develop strategies to drive growth and profitability.

  • Penetrate existing accounts to expand market share.

  • Maintain Company customer contact database.

  • Manage consigned inventory levels within established parameters.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management.





  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years of B2B Industrial, automotive or diagnostic sales

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated success in managing increased responsibility and achieving established goals

  • Impeccable personal presentation; ability to present effectively and appropriately internally & externally to all levels in an organization

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills

  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines without compromising quality

  • Strong understanding of sales strategy with the ability to implement and influence to achieve established goals

  • Flexible, conscientious, decisive, persistent, patient, high energy and self-motivated

  • Knowledge of Industrial tool market and familiarity with Snap-on diagnostic and automotive products and solutions preferred

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products, including Word, Excel, Power-Point, and Outlook; experience working with various databases and using different sales systems preferred

  • Must hold and maintain all required credentials, including a valid driver’s license, and possess an impeccable driving record with the ability to acquire adequate auto insurance

  • Ability to travel domestically up to 75%, with potential for some international travel
