Job Description:
Job Title: Payroll Administrator
Job Location: 1060 East Bay Rd., Torrance, ON, P0C 1M0
Terms of Employment: full-time, permanent, 40 hours per week
Salary: $28.00 to $30.00 per hour, overtime rate after 44 hours per week
Job Description:
Collect, verify, prepare, and process payroll information;
Organize and compile summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages in order to draft relevant reports;
Reconcile employee deductions and other liabilities;
Review source documents with necessary verification;
Manage payroll information requests and questions;
Report changes where necessary after maintaining payroll operations via company policies and procedures;
Provide assistance to payroll with internal and external audits when needed;
Handle payroll discrepancies through information collection and analysis;
Ensure company compliance with federal and provincial regulations and guidelines;
Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Job Requirements:
Education Requirement:
Completion of secondary school or its equivalent;
Completion of college diploma or courses in accounting, bookkeeping, or payroll administration;
Certified Payroll Professional designation preferred.
Experience and Skills Requirement:
At least 3 years of full-cycle payroll experience;
Experience with data entry, document management, file creation and record management;
Basic knowledge of accounting principles;
General proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel;
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines;
Self-starter, reliable and highly organized.
